Workshops​
The  COMMUNICATION Depot provides workshops in the following areas:

For Preschool Teachers: Facilitating Speech-Language Development and Pre-Literacy Skills (1-1 ½ hours). Teachers learn normal speech-language development; strategies for helping young children develop appropriate speech-language skills; helping children with phonemic awareness (a precursor to reading); how consonants & vowels are produced; and which children need to be referred for a speech-language evaluation.  Nita shares her social skills songs to be used in the classroom.

For Speech-Language Pathologists: Effective Speech-Language Therapy Services (2 to 3 hours). SLPs learn proven techniques for improving articulation and language skills, including pronunciation, literacy, & pragmatics.

Friendship/ Manners Lesson for Pre-K & Kindergarten​
The  COMMUNICATION Depot is available for a 45-60 minute social skills lesson with preschool or kindergarten classes, using her songs The Manners Song and One Little, Two Little, Three Little Friends.  Nita teaches the songs, accompanied by guitar, and children discuss and practice manners & how to be a good friend.
